Popo's Woodworks
США
Добавлен 26 ноя 2012
Hey guys, First off let me thank you for visiting my channel! This channel started off because of a buddy daring me to post a RUclips video believe it or not. On my channel I build various items out of wood. I try to do all of my projects with construction grade lumber that anyone can pick up at any Lowes or Home Depot. I base most of my projects off of items my wife and I need around the home and some personally requested items for friends.
I try to explain each build to where anyone can do it so my videos tend to be a bit longer than others. Plus I am no expert by no means!! Most of my projects doesn't require special expensive tools "but with that said" if you have them, it sure makes the projects easier and less work.
I really enjoy getting in my shop and seeing what I can make out of wood and try to take on new challenges. Woodworking has always been a passion for me.
You can also see my other builds at:

Honda Talon Super ATV Frame Stiffener Install
Here is a video of me installing a Super Atv Frame/Gusset Stiffener on a Honda Talon 1000X4 Live Valve. This is the same process for the 1000x and 1000r models as well. This is a pretty simple install and anyone with a few tools can do this. This frame stiffener is a great piece of mind to help protect your frame from getting bent where the bottom a-arms connect to the frame due to bigger tires, jumping, or hitting ruts or bumps. I am not sponsored by Super Atv and this is a product I bought and paid for myself. I hope this video helps someone do the install on their machine if they are purchasing this product. Thanks for watching!!

Easy DIY Floating Shelves
Просмотров 4,1 тыс.2 года назад
This video I show how I made floating shelves for both of my bathrooms in my home. Lumber used was 2- 2'x8'x8' boards (untreated) from any big box store. This is a different style of floating shelves versus my last video on how to make floating shelves. This is super easy, and anyone can do them. They are also super strong and sturdy. I utilize pocket holes and pocket screws to hold the shelves...

Просмотров 1,2 тыс.2 года назад
I was asked to do an update on how the hunting blind has held up since I built it. It has been up for around 2 years now and is still holding strong with no issues at all. After another year I will probably add another coat of paint to the exterior. S anyways, here a quick updated video on the blind for the ones that requested it. Thanks for watching!!

Просмотров 42 тыс.2 года назад
This video is my start to finish process of making American Flags with a 3D Eagle in the stripes. The flag sizes are 12" wide x 21" long. Most of the carving is time lapse for obvious reason due to time. I'm using a Shapeoko 3 XXL and Vcarve Desktop software. The eagle is part of the clipart that comes with Vcarve Desktop. Thanks for watching!!
Vcarve Desktop | First 3-D carve using Shapeoko XXL
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.2 года назад
This is my first 3-D carve using my Shapeoko 3 XXL. I was using Vcarve Desktop software. I used a 1/8” endmill for clearing/roughing pass. Then a tapered ball nose bit for the finishing pass. Not too bad but not perfect. I’ll get better with it!! Thanks for watching!
Shapeoko Advance Vcarve without Bitsetter
Просмотров 10 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I will show you how I do an Advance Vcarve in Carbide Create without a bitsetter. I purchased a jig from PWNCNC that I use to set up the depth of my bits with a collar which makes doing advance carves easy not having to spend $150 on a bitsetter. The video i s kinda long but I try to put as much information as I can in the video. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I wi...
Log Family Sign made on the Shapeoko XXL
Просмотров 15 тыс.3 года назад
This is a video of me making a family sign from start to finish. I had planned on doing a quick video but as always, as I got to going I wanted to show as much detail as possible in case it helps someone else out. This design is pretty easy to do. What takes the longest is the wood prep from stain to clear coat. Thanks for watching, if you have any questions shoot me a comment. Stain was Minwax...

Dog Bed Build
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.3 года назад
I was asked to build a dog bed from a picture a person found online. The bed is 19 inches wide and 36 inches long and 14 inches high. The bed was made for two small dogs to share. The wood used was Premium Pine from Lowe's. The customer had the cushion already and wanted the bed built to fit the cushion. This is a really simple build that anyone can do! No special tools were used besides a tabl...
Busco Beach Memorial Day 2021

Here is a video of our Memorial Day trip to Busco Beach. It was hot and super dry. First time I have ever seen Busco without mud. Everything was dried up. Anyways, I did this video with no music for a change to let sounds of the machines and the ride be natural. Thanks for watching.

Solo Cup Holder | Party cup holder
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 года назад
Here is a quick video of me building a party cup holder for solo cups so you can mark your cup at a party to keep track with your drink. This build was done with scrap wood, you can use nicer lumber and make them look better. Anyways if you have any questions shoot me a comment. Thanks for watching.
I think I’ll get 32s when I wear out my factory ones a bit more . I road , Indian Ridge , Pinnacle creek , Pocahontas last year with My Talon R . No problem with my tires yet . I tried the Bob-t nap thing . My tablet wouldn’t overlay the maps . I recommend On X Off-road . I love it . The first few times I did Hatfield McCoy with the paper maps . The Tablet takes it to another level ! See you at the Outlaw bar and grill 😂👍
Bought mine yesterday July-2024 ,used it , should have read the directions 🥸, but it works fine, thanks for no stupid music 🎶 ah
This video was the deciding factor of my purchase of this stand, and I haven't regretted a second of it...except for the assembly instructions. To say that it's coming in extremely handy now that I'm having to rehuild the floor of a pool deck would be a gross understatement. This and the 10" miter saw is making short work of cutting the lumber to the perfect size and angle while dodging these damn pop-up Florida thunderstorms that happen throughout the day EVERY day. Wheeling it in before the storm starts is a breeze...no pun intended.
@popo's woodworks do you need spacers on the back wheels? I just bought the 31x10x15 carnivores... I'm planning to keep the stock wheels...
Greetings from Poland! I don't have steamer but steam from iron is also effective ;) Thank you for this idea
will this hold 130 lbs?
Wouldn’t a hair dryer do the same?
What offset were you running on all 4 wheels check out terrachie Aztecs they are a very light mud tire
I've just bought a router for the first time and your video was terrific. Nice commentary and making me more confident about my first project. Love your accent! I'm Aussie BTW. You did a good job on your first sign.
It's good for the first time
Super. The reason why the second leg had a 2mm gap while screwing is lack of enough pressure. If you had a timbre with clamp and when the top is wedged between the timbre and the leg then it would be bang on . Nevertheless you did end up with a nice table.Super kreg gig.
Wagner power stripper
Yes very good work nicely done
That is well done, good work, perhaps you could have clean up between the letters with a small chisel
Why is it not possible to place it on the burners?
Just stumbled on your video and enjoyed it. I plan on building something similar so if you are still around may I ask where did you get the TBL decal?
Looks great
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
For the power cnc thing, that’s a lot of work for a short swap. Seems faster to just re-probe
Got this and it lasted years. The wire wasted away and the thing shorted out before the gears broke. (Blew the fuse in the cigarette lighter)
Nice job !
Nice job I love the wood stove
Nice job man
Thank you
Nice stand, why use osb for the floor vs plywood? I see several people do this we’ve always used plywood
Made a queen version of this 4 years ago... about to do it again for a king! Best dimensional lumber DIY out there!
It’s too bad you didn’t clean up the back board before closing it up. Seeing the sticker and pencil lines kind of ruins it. Also, those Brad nails on the front make it look awful. Really need more patience when woodworking.
Good job
Yeah because everybody has a steamer like why can't people just make a video about what the title is
Nice work 👍👍
Great video! You're a good dad! And it's cool that you have the patience to let your 10 yr old paint by herself.
No scratch abrasive pads will clean emulsion ,oil based use alcohol wipes or white spirit
Clever idea. Go Hokies!
What size is your trailer
At about 1:50, you mention the end grain rings of your boards. As you lay your boards out next to each other, you should alternate them rings curved up and down, looking at them from the end. Your finished panel will be less likely to warp.
Is your EGA an STL file?
I really appreciate the tuto but my problem is a whole bucket of paint went on the floor
what'd you end up doing? paint thinner?
@@Ed.Garrity someone accidentaly kick the whole bucket and it spill
@@amiralkanag7357 i meant what did you end up doing to clean it?
@@Ed.Garrity well... the floor was gray and the paint to soo... i remove the big part then i just paint the rest lol
I built this bed, thanks for the great video! Now I’m working on copying your accent. 😂
15°
Did you like the router. Did it cut well. Enough power to geter done ?
Nice 👍
Frog was on point
I bought my Anzo from Cabela's during the clearance sale for 4.99. the limit was one. 😢
Damn she did a better job than I did and spilled less paint than I did and I’m 27
I worked at a flea market where a fellow did routed wood signs. He was good at it having done it for years. I can say for your first try your sign turned out great. It's just my opinion maybe, but hand wood worked pieces beat the machines. The slight imperfections when done by hand is art. Like out in nature, nothing is an exact copy of anything else. It wouldn't be nearly as beautiful if all the leaves and petals on the rose bush were exactly the same.
What a wonderful way to publically shame your daughter for making a mistake---and forcing her participate in the public humiliation. When she makes a mistake when she older, and one that she truly needs help to solve, I wonder if she'll come to you. I wouldn't. What a thing to say that it was a mistake to let her try something she really wanted to try and to announce this to the entire world right in front of her. How do you think she'll feel if her friends see this? Or her bullies?
Yeah, those smiles look full of shame. Maybe he’s actually teaching her something about listening, consequences, and accountability. He’d be doing her more harm than good if he just fixed it for her.
Wow imagine being you.
Child please. She will mess up on her adult job. Training humility and working to get it right. Dedicated employee ❣️
you're ridiculous
He's a good patient dad who let his 10yr old paint her room on her own. She's not embarrassed she's showing off her cool new pink room! Lol.. you can tell this guy is a good dad.
Very good video!
You have inspired me with your efforts dear sir!!!! I'll be shopping for a cheap router tomorrow to get started on my sign.
How many pickets did you use
Awesome. Getting on it today . Thanks
